Where else but Grenada, the "Isle of Spice" can one expect such high quality flavorful cocoa?
Grenada's cocoa trees were introduced to the island around 1714. The Spice Isle went on to become the largest producer and exporter of cocoa in the then British West Indies.
Major setbacks including recent hurricanes caused a decline in production and supply. As part of its rebirth, rather than just exporting cocoa beans, Grenada now focuses on value-added such as chocolates, cocoa balls, cocoa fat lotions and cocoa nibs.
